Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Printer conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Printer completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Printer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Responsibilities:
- Get screens ready and set up for printing.
- Operate our awesome Screen Printing, DTG Polaris and Digital Squeegee DTG to create prints on textiles and other materials.
- Keep the printing equipment in tip-top shape and troubleshoot any issues that may pop up.
- Mix those inks and other chemicals to get the perfect colors and textures.
- Check the quality of the printed products to make sure they're top-notch.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a screen printer or in a similar role preferred
- Attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality prints
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot printing issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
