Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Printer conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Printer completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Printer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. The Printer role will be responsible for testing custom ink and water-based coating formulations on various DTG printers.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain printers and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve printer issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing printer parts
- Monitor printer performance and make adjustments as needed
- Ensure printers are stocked with necessary supplies, such as ink or toner cartridges
- Assist with printer setup and installation for new users
- Provide training and support to users on printer operation and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Familiarity with various types of printers, including OEM models (Brother GTX Pro, Epson F2100, Ricoh Ri2000, Mimaki TxF300, etc.)
- Basic computer networking skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve printer issues independently
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
