    Circuit Breaker Sales NE Inc. a leader in providing power distribution products and services, has been serving commercial, industrial, municipal, and utility customers in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic for more than 22 years.

    Based in Seymour, Connecticut, CBS Northeast has a large inventory of new, surplus, and reconditioned circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control, transformers, and other power apparatus, along with hundreds of thousands of replacement parts.

    Our shop services include repairing, upgrading, reconditioning, and re-manufacturing your electrical equipment from a single circuit breaker to a complete substation.

    CBS Northeast service teams provide on-site 24/7 emergency or disaster repair/recovery services. We can repair on-site or replace your circuit breakers, switchgear, and power transformers having you back online quickly and safely.

    • High school or equivalent GED certification.
    • Two (2) years of relevant electrical experience
    • Clean driving record with no citable accidents within the past 3 years
    • Pass a background check with no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions within the past 5 years
    • Pass E-Verify or other government eligibility screening
    • Capable of traveling to all Field Service job sites
    • Capable of lifting 50-pounds
    • Possess good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office programs
    • Electrical theory and hands-on experience (5 years preferred)
    • Troubleshoot electrical circuits and make repairs
    • Ability to wire equipment from schematics, point-point diagrams
    • Mechanically inclined, must have your own tools
    • Detailed oriented, great attitude, team player
    • Ability to work 50 hours a week, weekends, support emergencies
    • Must have ability of good house keep skills of field service area and field service vehicles

    Field Service technicians - Mechanical and industrial electrical experience required. The ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical machinery. Knowledge of electrical apparatus including 480V, 5KV and 15KV a plus.

    Mechanical.

    • Ability to clean electrical parts (copper buss, racking mechs, cubical primary bottles)
    • Ability to know proper/safe clearances for electrical equipment · Ability to cut and weld metals
    • Ability to remove and reinstall electrical components in switchgear and circuit breakers with documentation
    • Ability to choose correct insulation and properly install over copper buss
    • Mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair switchgear and circuit breakers
    • Ability to racking breakers in and out of cubicles and know correct interlock positions
    • Ability to choose correct paints and primers for indoor and outdoor equipment and know how to mix and apply
    • Read manuals and follow detailed instructions on adjusting equipment
    • Ability to offer customers proper services needed for their electrical equipment

    Electrical.

    • Assist senior personnel as needed to validate subsystem functionality and electrical design operation
    • Ability to read an wire breakers, switchgear, and MCC’s from a point-to-point diagram
    • Follow NETA testing processes of electrical apparatus
    • Buzz out and generate electrical schematics of industrial equipment
    • Test and troubleshoot electrical wiring
    • Ability to read a one line diagram and properly ground equipment for a safe workspace
    • Perform Evaluation on basic and more advanced electrical devices and circuits, including Circuit breakers, switchgear, MCCB’S, MCC, CT’s, PT’S and transformers.
    • Ability to test electrical equipment such as circuit breakers, MCC buckets, MCCB’s Switchgear, PT’s CT’s and Transformers
    • Perform upkeep and maintenance to electrical test equipment
    • Stage test equipment and materials for project execution
    • Interpret test results and provide immediate feedback to project leads and senior personnel for any resolution actions needed

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
