Salary: $45,760-$58,240/year

Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe work environment and contribute to engage members of the team to work safely, and actively participate on the Company’s Safety Observation Program
- Ensure that daily checks on powered pallet jacks are performed and paperwork is completed
- Setup line according to schedule (correct die, recipe, filler block, harp, etc.)
- Ensure equipment is set up to maintain required productivity levels without compromising safety and/or quality (equipment guards are on and correct throughout the line)
- Comply and reinforce the Company’s Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards
- Place associates in the correct spot and provide the game plan for the day (huddle meeting)
- Communicates with maintenance about any issue from the previous day to see if it was addressed
- Ensure that all GMP and safety standards are in compliance
- Document and report production downtime accurately.
- Monitor equipment in operation to identify potential issues and/or mechanical failures, adjust as needed and/or report timely
- Document production information via daily systems logs
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- At least High School Diploma
- At least 3 years of experience in a food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing organization
- Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures and HACCP
- Demonstrate understanding of production scheduling and other production variables such as run-rates, processing times, change-over times, etc.
- Know how to operate all machinery (APV, Vemag, Pattyn, GENERIC1, GENERIC 2) as necessary.
- Demonstrate ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work
- Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrate mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment
- Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions

- Demonstrate Computer Skills to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Inventory software and Word Processing software.
Physical Requirements:
- Will be required to perform tasks such as lift up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, grasping, and balancing as part of production activities out on the floor.
- Will be required to see and hear well enough to understand Associates questions and respond to their concerns.
- Will be required to work in freezers, near noisy machinery, near confined spaces as part of daily production activities.
