Job Summary
The screen print production manager is responsible for directing, planning, assigning, and monitoring the Screen Print production Department's daily operations including managing all department personnel. This position is responsible for maintaining the company’s strict quality control standards with all products produced on all shifts. The screen print production manager will be involved in and contribute to the coordination and control of the of the manufacturing process to ensure all work centers are staged with products and running efficiently. The production manager is responsible for working closely with the artwork department and scheduling. They are responsible for enforcing all company policy’s including safety and attendance. They are the point person for all screen print production, R&D print innovation, training and quality control standards. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring all production deadlines are being met, including running both an automatic and/or manual press as needed. A Production Manager is someone who works well with others, leads print innovation, and R&D to continuously drive print production innovation and efficiencies and is interested in growing and developing operations. Communication is critical as you will be responsible for meeting deadlines for various projects while continually communicating and conferring with the production team, as well as the other departments as needed. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, able to implement efficient processes, train production teams, ensure best practices and increase productivity.
Job Duties
· Oversee the production process and works closely with the production administration to ensure product is produced in a timely manner and adjusts schedule if problems occur.
· Oversee the screen making, ink mixing and finishing departments and all personnel
· Monitor KPI’s and report them to Leadership
· Assists and communicates with production coordinator throughout the day if changes in the schedule and staging is required.
· Troubleshoot and teach press operators to troubleshoot technical issues including teaching improved production methods, techniques, new inks and processes.
· Monitor and enforce company quality control standards and housekeeping requirements.
· Training press teams in set-up procedures so all teams are consistent in those procedures.
· Works with Executive Management Team to implement company policies, safety policies and company goals. Enforces all company policies.
· Maintains OSHA guidelines and safety at all times.
· Troubleshoots and teaches press operators to troubleshoot technical issues.
· Approves press set-ups, continually monitoring the press teams and print quality.
· Supervise, coach and motivate all production teams promoting company culture.
· Ensure the Accuracy of Production Employees logs being entered into the ERP.
· Review production team members performance when needed.
· Crosstrain all Production teams to ensure a better and deeper production workforce.
· Responsible for second shift as required.
· Coach, Hire, and Fire all personnel.
