Print Production Manager oversees the competitive bid and negotiation process with vendors and suppliers that perform print jobs for direct mail, seasonal promotions, sales collateral, and other printed media. Approves print production priorities and schedules, print specifications, and budgets. Being a Print Production Manager advises internal clients on printing projects and recommends cost effective options. Grants final approval on all artwork, copy, formats, mock-ups, and proofs. Additionally, Print Production Manager manages relations with vendors and internal clients. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Support the Marketing/Creative Services department in completing finished projects of various types.
Clear understanding CMYK and printing procedures. Skills to include cut/weed vinyl, mount, operating a roll laminator and applying large format digital prints to a variety of substrates & installations as needed. Sign skills a plus. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically interact with the public and staff. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. One (1) to two (2) years print production experience required. Experience working with mechanical production machinery preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to interpret documents such as rules and regulations, must have good communicating skills with ability to follow communicated instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to guests and team members in a tactful and polite manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must reason with people effectively yet cordially. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The team member is regularly required to sit and often will stand or walk. The team member is frequently required to reach with arms and use hands to manipulate or feel. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing up to 25 lbs. The team member may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and all machinery used in the print shop. Visual acuity, close vision, color vision, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work performed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a fast paced work environment. The office environment has low to moderate noise levels and has good lighting. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and has dim to moderate lighting, is often crowded and is a smoking environment.
WORKING HOURS:
Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek is 40 hours and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
