Job Description :

Rapid Liquid Print is seeking a Production Technician to help drive forward and grow our production capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for processing 3d geometries to print within the RLP system, running the print jobs, postprocessing parts as needed, and coordinating with clients and the team to k production schedules.

The position will require some background knowledge in 3d modeling and CNC machine use. However, our process and machines are unique, and complete training in the RLP method will be required.

We are looking for someone eager to learn, who likes to work with their hands, and who can stay organized in a busy environment.

Responsibilities and Duties :

CAM Design for RLP.

• Process geometries to print with proprietary RLP software tools.
• Will learn to evaluate parts for printability and will be able to offer design suggestions to sales team and clients wishing to work with the RLP process.
• Will use Rhino and Grasshopper software to modify geometries and program print files.

Machine Operation

• Prepares machine for print jobs, including changing materials, loading files, and tracking print statistics
• Will prepare raw materials for the RLP process and maintain inventory of supplies
• Will Remove printed parts and keep them organized for post processing and shipping.
• Caries out necessary post processing steps and works with sales to ship to the customers.

Quality Assurance and Optimization

• Works with the rest of the team to track and maintain a level of quality control.
• Flags issues with the process to software, mechanical, or materials teams to optimize production processes.

Maintain and Improve Workshop

Works on projects to improve the efficiency of the workshop, budling jigs, organization systems, and addressing any issues related to keeping a clean, and organized workshop.

Preferred Qualifications

• Must have experience using CAD programs, preferably Rhino, Blender, or similar modeling programs.
• Experience with basic coding systems such as Grasshopper, Dynamo, Arduino, or Python. Much of this will be covered in training, but basic understandings of data types, geometry fundamentals, and machine control are a big plus.

Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) fits this qualification as well.

• Experience working with laser cutters and engravers.
• Machining and general fabrication skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
