Print Production Coordinator jobs in Harrisburg, PA

Downtown Harrisburg Print Shop is seeking a Print Production/Graphic Design Customer Service professional with at least 3 years of prior experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate must have strong graphic design, layout and print production skills and the ability to learn and grow with our company. He or she must have experience with Adobe-based graphic programs, digital presses, and print finishing.

Duties of this position will include:

• Operating and maintaining digital presses and bindery equipment.
• Preparing & assembling images, illustrations and copying and managing layout for printing.
• Effectively managing production schedules and production equipment.
• Meeting with clients to conceptualize and design various printed materials, direct mail campaigns and promotional items.
• Working closely with other employees to assist with customer required directives.
• Completing multiple tasks on multiple printers at the same time to maximize the workflow process.
• Keeping the work order system up to date and always organized.
• Ensuring all quality standards are being met by sampling, viewing, and checking jobs, in both the printing and finishing processes.
• Maintaining all inventory levels of paper, toner, and all related consumables in the bindery department.
• Maintaining all printing and output devices by placing service calls to the appropriate service technicians.
• Regular, daily attendance is an essential function of this position.
• The ability to complete tasks independently in a fast-paced, quick turn environment.

Qualifications Required for this position:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in graphic design, print production and print finishing.
• Strong computer and internet skills
• Proven expertise with Adobe-based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
• The ability to optimize workload, prioritize various projects and maximize the production workflow.
• Extreme attention to detail in the designing, proofreading and copy editing of all print jobs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills when interacting with both clients and fellow employees.
