Jr. Print Technician
Chena Hot Springs, Fairbanks, Alaska
You will be trained to work on a combination of laser cutters, filament and resin 3d printers to process in-house orders. These orders range anywhere from laser-cut wooden ornaments and toys to large-scale 3d printed museum piece models.This job requires a keen eye in recognizing deviances in production and adjusting images & models at time of run to mitigate these issues.
We are a medium-sized resort located sixty miles North-East of Fairbanks, Alaska, located in the Chena River State Recreation Area. Notable for our Hot Springs, we also offer a variety of outdoor activities, including Hiking, Camping, ATV/Snowmachine Tours, Dog Sled Rides, and Northern Lights Viewing during the Aurora Season. We also offer a restaurant and café, hotel, and gift shops.
The Print Technician works from 9 AM to 5:30PM six days a week.They will be expected to:
Set up and run provided files on the Prusa Mini, Elegoo Saturn and XTool D1 Pro lines of machines- Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure consistent production
- Identify issues with printed images such as contrast problems, elements that need traps or strokes added or adjusted, visible resolution, visible scaling, etc.
- Identify issues with filament-based printers such as inconsistent first layers, ringing, underextrusion, support failures, ambient humidity and temperature effects, etc.
- Identify issues with resin-based printers such as adhesion failure, delamination, support failures, ragging, ambient humidity and temperature effects, etc.
As with all jobs offered at Chena Hot Springs Resort, single and double occupancy housing with communal bathroom is provided, as is two hot meals a day and breakfast cereals.
