Principal Architect oversees and manages a team responsible for architectural projects. Reviews and approves architectural procedures and techniques used to complete projects. Being an Principal Architect has a diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices, uses advanced techniques, and has responsibility for final specifications, approval of ordered materials, and overall guidance on objectives and concepts. Ensures architectural designs are completed on time and adhere to the established specifications and standards. Additionally, Principal Architect keeps up to date on the development of new architectural methods or techniques. Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture. Requires a State Architect's License. Typically reports to a director. The Principal Architect typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Master’s degree in administration
State teaching license
Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience
Effective communication skills
Effective problem solving skills
Ability to work during non-scheduled teaching hours
REPORTS TO: Principal
CONTACT TIME:
Whenever a substitute is employed in the absence of the principal.
Three (3) additional duty days to be determined by the principal listed under responsibilities.
Evening and weekend time devoted to projects and activities outlined by the principal listed under responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
To provide assistance to the principal during the normal operation of the school.
To provide administrative leadership in the absence of the principal.
To provide leadership and support to the principal in the following organizational areas.
Summer school registration
Pre-school activities
School handbooks
Coordination of PTA activities
Curriculum organization
In-service sessions for faculty
Other administrative tasks as assigned by the principal
