    Position Summary

    The primary responsibility of the Inventory & Pricing Coordinator (IPC) is to coordinate the execution of the pricing strategy for the store. The IPC will proactively look for opportunities to work with margins and help drive profits through setting and maintaining fair and competitive pricing and manage and control all elements of the store inventory.

    Major Responsibilities

    The major responsibilities for this position include:
    • Maintain Ace Hot sheets and review pricing and find inconsistencies in sequences and relationships (i.e. change the price on one item in a sequence and ensure the entire sequence makes sense.)
    • Learn pricing definitions for the following categories of items; sensitive, competitive, non-competitive, or blind
    • Maintain bin tag labels on the retail sales floor ensuring current and correct pricing
    • Make recommendations on sensitive items and niche opportunities
    • Review sales trends to determine the success or failure of pricing adjustments Ensure adequate inventory levels to minimize outages
    • Develop and enhance receiving processes
    • Develop and monitor inventory management reports
    • Implement location codes and cycle counting
    • Oversee introduction of new items to store mix
    • Monitor shrinkage and recommend ways to reduce theft and breakage in the store
    • Identify obsolete inventory and determine how to best remove it
    • Maintain Ace discovery core assortments by plan-o-gram.
    • Ensure adequate inventory levels to minimize outages
    • Process all damage claims according to store policy and maintain related paperwork
    • Maintain and review inter-store transfers

    Minimum Requirements
    The minimum requirements for this position include the following:
    • Education/Training: High School degree, College degree preferred. Strong familiarity of general pricing principles. Possess a vast product knowledge of consumable products along with a willingness to learn
    • Understand the flow of merchandise
    • Experience: Direct sales and inventory experience with retail inventory.
    • Experience in a retail environment either in pricing, sales, or back office.
    • Skills/Knowledge: Excellent quantitative and computer skills. Understanding of database management and data analysis is a plus.
    • Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word, Excel, and Access a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, ability to multi-task, and high attention to detail.
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
    Physical Requirements

    The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
    • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
    • Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth
