Additionally, Press Operator Assistant - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Press Operator Assistant - All Widths works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Operates and maintains our Vutek Grand Format printer.
This position will support our Event & Exhibit Services team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show site based out of Orlando, FL.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares and sends digital files to Vutek Grand Format printer.
- Provides additional large format technical support.
- Manages a production workflow to accurately produce banner graphics to minimize waste, labor and costs.
- Communicates directly with prepress, finishing and shipping departments to ensure critical deadlines are met and quality expectations are exceeded.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One or more years experience operating Vutek grand format printers or two to four years of related experience in grand format production.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and follow-up skills.
- Must be able to learn and adapt to change, manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Must be deadline driven and flexible to respond to changing requirements with tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Must have above average understanding of tradeshow and special event graphics production.
- Excellent customer service skills.
