Press Operator Assistant - All Widths completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Press Operator Assistant - All Widths conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Press Operator Assistant - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Press Operator Assistant - All Widths works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Working as an intricate part of our Laser/Form team, you will assist with setting up and operating the Press Brake machines within our production setting. Work to be performed as outlined by each job's engineering specifications and drawings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on the Press Brake Machine.
- Locate, check accuracy, and load programs for each job.
- Stage raw materials at each work center according to the day's production.
- Ensure the production schedule is followed as allocated by the scheduling department.
- Perform minor machine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas in accordance with company standards and manufacturer's machine recommendations.
- Check parts for accuracy per GK Machine and ISO standards.
- Assist other C.N.C. operators with any duties and assist with operational issues that could arise during the production process.
