Experienced Press Operator

Position duties:

Responsible for setting up and operating automatic presses. Operator must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Operator must have the ability to solve printing problems, make adjustments to press to keep a high-quality print. Operator is responsible for good registration, PMS accuracy, and maintaining production at an optimum speed. Operator must ensure production personnel are following written or verbal safety guidelines at all times.

• The Operator receives production order and job assignments from supervisor. Operator reads and understands job sheet, verifies quantity of garments to be printed, color of garments, size of garments, location to be printed and logo placement
• Operator must ensure all images are printing correctly as instructed on job sheet
• Operator must ensure that all production logs are filled out accurately, daily
• Operator must have all preprints approved and signed off by a production supervisor before printing the job
• Operator must have the ability to solve printing issues as they arise
• Operator must ensure everyone at the press is working safely and reports all accident to production manager or safety coordinator
• Operator must ensure press staff are on time every day as well as on time to and from scheduled breaks
• Operator must ensure the production level of his/her press is at an optimum level
• Operator must ensure all printing supplies such as inks, screens, test prints, orders are brought to the press for production
• Operator must perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Requirements:

• Basic Mathematic skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and diving
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to operate all functions on a press
• Ability to set screens in a timely manner
• Must have reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
