Position Summary: Responsible for operating all of equipment in area. Incumbents are considered top of their field by being able to successfully troubleshoot all equipment tied to cell and use their expertise to solve problems and eliminate scrap, rework, and downtime. Should be actively involved in Continuous Improvement within the area to promote safety, quality, throughput. May service as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Operate all machinery in a safe manner
- Ability to meet production rates
- Willingness to cross train on different presses and equipment in the work area
- Train lower-level operators
- Inspect finished parts for gauge thickness, defects, and proper fit
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Requirements:
- Intermediate ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Must be able to read, follow detailed instructions, and understand English
- Must be able to read and work with blueprints, building and repair tooling and dies
- Able to train, coordinate, communicate effectively with all departments
- Able to troubleshoot and manipulate program
- Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes
- Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures - detect defects

Education / Training Required:
- 1 year of previous experience or equivalent knowledge
- 7-10 years of previous machine operator experience
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
Work Environment:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
