Press Operator - All Widths completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Press Operator - All Widths conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Press Operator - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Press Operator - All Widths independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Mark Andy P-5 or P-7 flexo press experience is a plus.
BENEFITS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.). Requires at least three years of relevant experience in label press operation in a manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear foot and other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting. May continuously stand for an extended period and stoop and kneel frequently. May handle, feel, and reach for items in and around the press area. Also, write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required. Vision: close vision, distance, and color vision to distinguish color variations, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud. Must be able to work overtime as required by workload and customer-mandated deadlines.
