Press Operator - All Widths completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Press Operator - All Widths conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Press Operator - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Press Operator - All Widths independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
OverviewMove parts and heavy frames on and off machinery and throughout the facility. Read complicated drawings. Measure material.Equipment/Machinery UsedBrake press, tape measure, forklift, hand toolsEssential Functions- Square up and break material accurately
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Education/ExperienceOne to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired Qualifications/Training- Ability to read drawings and take and read measurements
- Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
- Detail oriented with exceptional eye/hand coordination skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English
