Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments and grinding machines for grinding angles, contours, lines, and spheres on to surfaces. Being a Precision Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Precision Grinder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. The Quality Technician is responsible for conducting activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products. This professional must be familiar with machining and manufacturing processes. This position supports the production department through in-process inspections and audits, data documentation, application of SPC methods to analyze data and recommend process changes. Must be self-motivated and work well in a team environment. Working knowledge of GD&T is essential for this position.
Qualified candidates will possess an Associate's degree in mechanical or quality engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
