The Precision Grinder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Description

    Slabe Machine Product in Willoughby, Ohio is looking to add a Precision Grinder to our second shift staff which runs Monday through Thursday 4:30pm to 2:30am giving you Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off! This person will train on our first shift and move to the second once you are ready. Do you have experience in a precision machine shop setting working with grinding equipment? Do you have leadership skills in your past or current work history? If so, we would love to work with you!
     
    We are looking for someone who can set up and operate grinding equipment such as:  Cincinnati centerless #1, #2, OD grinders, Surface grinders, and Double disc fine grinder.  


    Key Responsibilities

    • Setup and operate grinding machines.
    • Maintain inventory of grinding wheels and other supplies essential to grinding.
    • Perform daily, monthly & yearly machine maintenance.
    • Ensure all time and daily production is accurate.
    • Work directly with inspection and production to solve problems.
    • Experience in centerless grinding, surface grinding, OD grinding, fine grinding & lapping.
    • Experience with thread roll a plus.



    Skills Knowledge and Expertise

    • Metal Industry Experience.
    • Knowledge of Aerospace Industry Metals.
    • Ability to work within close tolerances.
