Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments and grinding machines for grinding angles, contours, lines, and spheres on to surfaces. Being a Precision Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Precision Grinder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Type: Full time/Entry Level
Pay: $13.00-$14.00/hr.
Shifts are 12 hours and are on a 3 day on and 3 days off rotation. Overtime is available. We have 7a-7p, and 7p-7a shifts available.
Packer/Grinder Job Summary:
- Preparing product for packing
- Properly wrap, band, and label product for shipping
- Loading scrap plastic into grinders
- Completion of hourly cold/hot & quality checks, including relevant paperwork
- Operation of pallet jacks
- Maintain a work area that is orderly, and free of debris
- Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand and walk for up to 12 hours
- Able to lift & maneuver bulky sheets of plastic weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Able to work (12) hours in a hot environment
- The ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16"), & micrometer (.000) is desired, but client will train the right candidates.
