Precision Grinder operates precision grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments and grinding machines for grinding angles, contours, lines, and spheres on to surfaces. Being a Precision Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Precision Grinder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday -
Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 4:30pm
Friday as needed
Weekend OT is sometimes available, but never mandatory!

General Description of Duties:
Setup and operate CNC and/or Manual OD (outside diameter) grinders; read and interpret customer drawings; inspect work with micrometers.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
- Ability to read and interpret customer prints and specs
- Setup and operate hydraulic/manual grinders
- Measure diameters and runout using Arnold gages, micrometers, snap gages, and dial indicators
- Dress grinding wheels
- Maintain specified surface finish
- Follow company provided work orders and instructions
- Frequent lifting
