Precision Grinder jobs in Auburn, WA
Precision Grinder operates precision grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments and grinding machines for grinding angles, contours, lines, and spheres on to surfaces. Being a Precision Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Precision Grinder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Position Description
We have our own tool grind shop with 3 Walter CNC Grind machines, as well as manual grind operations, position is for Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:00pm
Position Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years machinist experience.
Experience with manual cutter grinding required and CNC grinding operation a plus.
Ability needs to be proficient at OD, radius and end grinding high-speed, carbide on finish cutters and crest cut/wave cut. Form cutters, reamers and drills a plus.
Qualifications
Education and Experience - Aerospace industry experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED required. Apprenticeship graduate or technical degree helpful.
2 Years experience required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to life, push, pull, carry:
Regularly: Up to 10 lbs
Occasionally: Up to 20 lbs
Lifting assistance required: Over 50 lbs
