Precision Assembler jobs in Burlington, NC
Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Essential Functions:
Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts/assembly meet requirements.
Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required. to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets).
Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets.
Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection.
Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).
Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S Program and complies with all safety regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: Up to $32.00 per hour
