Overview
Working independently, this position is accountable for all maintenance related to buildings in the Property Management portfolio.
This includes, but is not limited to : scheduling, assigning, supervising, inspecting, preventative maintenance of all trades in assuring quality maintenance and repair of equipment, systems, renovation work, and installation coordination.
Responsibility is typically 5-10 buildings both rented and owned.
Responsibilities
Assists with construction and renovation projects as required.
Demonstrates knowledge of N.F.P.A. 101, Life Safety Code and N.F.P.A. 99, Chapters 7-5 and 7-6, current Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations Environment of Care standards, Utilities and Equipment Management standards and current National Electrical Codes.
Initiates and supervises preventive maintenance to assure specifications are followed and maintenance is properly performed.
Inspects work performed to assure that workmanship meets applicable local, state, and federal standards and codes and complies with safety regulations.
Maintains all required documentation to successfully pass all federal, state, local, and internal audits and inspections.
Provides training for staff and retraining as required to remain current on repair and maintenance of new or modified equipment and systems.
Schedules, assigns, and supervises maintenance and repairs to equipment and systems and renovations activities to assure quality and cost-effective workmanship.
Qualifications
EDUCATION : Required - High School graduation or equivalent
Preferred : Associate?s degree, preferably in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Industrial Maintenance
EXPERIENCE : Required - Minimum of five (5) years? experience in maintenance or construction
Preferred - Three (3) years? experience Healthcare Facilities Management
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRY / LISTING : REQUIRED
Drivers License Valid Drivers License
PREFERRED
State license or certification in one or more of the maintenance crafts (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing or HVAC)
