Description:
We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing,
and implementing comprehensive business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.
This role has flexible hybrid working options.
Core Responsibilities
• Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and work with stakeholders to address them.
• Create and maintain data connections and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI.
• Optimize performance and usability of Power BI reports and dashboards by tuning queries, implementing efficient data models, and applying best practices.
• Ensure data security and compliance standards are met by implementing appropriate security measures and access controls within Power BI.
• Production Support of reports, dashboards, and schedules for EMEA and North American user base
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years' experience as an analytics developer specializing in Power BI
• Proficient in utilizing Power Query and DAX.
• Experience utilizing APIs
• Experience using Denodo is a plus
• Experience with Cloud based platforms (Preferably Azure) is a plus
• Nice to have exposure to PowerApps and Power Automate
• Hands on experience with Power BI on-premises enterprise data gateways
• Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Cognos) is a plus.
• A very strong understanding of relational and dimensional databases and an
ability to query databases to troubleshoot issues in reporting
• A flair for clean User Interface / Dashboard design principles
• Educated to degree level preferably in an IT-related discipline, or with significant industry experience
• Knowledge of, and a willingness and ability to adapt to new analytics technologies
