Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our team. The CAD Technician plays a pivotal role in creating detailed technical drawings of our customers' planned solar installations using AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create and utilize CAD templates to create accurate 2D drawings.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards and regulations.
• Make necessary revisions or modifications to drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
• Review photos of installation site to create precise CAD drawings.
• Maintain an organized database of all drawings and related documentation using our CRM.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project requirements are met efficiently.

Required Skill/Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical documents, sketches, and schematics.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar energy industry required.
• Proven experience as a CAD Technician or similar role required.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD required.
• Experience working with solar interconnection methods is required.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based work with regular use of computers, phones, and other office equipment.
• This position requires you to work in-person at our Lindon headquarters.
