Job Summary:

MPS is seeking a Sr. Module Design Engineer for the power module team. This role is responsible for the development of the highly integrated MPS power module products. In this role, you will design high current, high density DC-DC power modules with cutting-edge monolithic power management ICs, coordinate and lead the power module development from planning through completion.

Essential Functions:

• Define, and design the highly integrated power module solutions.
• Magnetic component simulation, and integration with module product.
• Drive the cross-functional collaboration with the package, test, product and QA team to bring a power module solution from concept to mass production.
• Develop reference circuit schematic and system level power architecture for demonstrating the advantage of cutting edge power module solutions of MPS.
• Validate and characterize new products.
• Provide technical support and training for customers and field application engineer.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Electronics/Electrical Engineering;
• 2 years of hands-on experience with DC/DC power converter design, debug and optimization.
• Familiar with inductor, transformer designs, simulation and manufacture.
• Proficiency with PCB design and simulation tools such as Allegro PCB Editor, Capture CIS, Altium Designer.
• Highly enthusiastic in solving multi-disciplinary challenges in fast paced product-oriented environments.
• Effective priority management skills across multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

Education:

• BSEE or higher;

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $141,000 - $178,000. 

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $134,000 - $169,000.
