ACCO Engineered Systems, Inc is looking for an Operations Development Manager to work out of our Costa Mesa location with over 15 years of experience and 10 years of operational development experience working in the process piping industry.
General Job Description:
The Operations Development Manager role reports directly to the Director of Corporate Operations and plays a key role in the planning and execution of construction projects. This dynamic position requires collaboration with project management, sales leadership, and construction operations teams.
Supervises: No initial direct reports; this will be reviewed as the position develops.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project management, sales leadership, and construction operations teams to plan and execute construction projects efficiently and within established timelines.
- Lead and participate in resource forecasting, manpower planning, schedule planning, and schedule management. This would include any lean construction techniques.
- Assist with project specific risk identification specifically in out of area work. This review would occur under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager in charge of said project.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for project teams and construction operations to reflect project health.
- Assist with the processes required to allow for further expansion into the process, semiconductor, and biopharma markets.
- Apply best practices from one business channel to other business channels to ensure cross collaboration.
- Partner with project management development team regarding training curriculum.
- Execution of key operations project initiatives of any size, type, and complexity of project operating independently.
- Foster thoughtful relationships sensitive to the impact of change within the team and Business as a whole.
- Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Operations Leadership.
Key Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):
- 10 years within operations management, people/project management or related experience.
- 15 years experience in the process piping industry
- 5 years of experience in roles requiring critical thinking to drive strategy and change.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or related field required.
- Project Management certification encouraged.
- Project management experience or related field required.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and desire to see constant improvement.
- Ability to operate independently and autonomously and yet possess the discretionary judgment to know when it is appropriate to consult with others in the organization.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Hybrid work-from-home days coordinated with manager.
Travel: Typically 25% of the time to primary and branch office locations throughout the Corporation. More travel at times as required for the given project.
Competitive Wages:
$180,000 to $200,000 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
