The position is placed in the Business Area Nordics, which owns and operates ~14 GW of renewable power production in Norway and Sweden alongside having a significant growth ambition across renewable technologies: hydropower, solar, onshore and offshore wind. Given the ongoing energy transition and the current energy crisis, the need for more renewable energy is increasing. To deliver on Statkraft’s growth ambitions and development of existing assets, we are now strengthening our efforts by building a diverse and competent Regulatory & Grid team.

The Regulatory & Grid team has the objective to secure favourable, stable and predictable framework conditions for the Business Area Nordics’ assets and growth plans. Further the team will provide business intelligence on both public and regulatory affairs and grid economics and development in Norway and Sweden.

As Senior Advisor Power Systems & Grid, you will:

• Develop and deliver on the overall grid position in Norway, including power system development, grid engineering and grid regulations
• Work with both the development portfolio and the asset portfolio in the Nordics (hydropower, onshore wind and solar), providing grid commercial and technical support
• Provide business case assumptions on grid tariffs and regulatory assumptions
• Provide support early in project developments to identify best possible point of grid connection, potential restrictions, and competition for capacity
• Support project developers in securing grid connection and agreements for the development portfolio in Norway, working towards DSOs and TSOs
• Get a solid understanding of Statkraft’s core business and build a solid internal and external network

Kvalifikasjoner

• Master’s degree in electrical power engineering or other relevant field
• Relevant experience, preferably from the Nordic energy sector with power systems & grid, including government agencies and consultancy
• Knowledge and interest for power systems & grid development, and the intersection between commercial development and regulatory affairs
• Commercially minded, eager to learn and to understand the business needs
• Strong team-player with good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create relations internally and externally
• Ability to see the big picture, but also deep dive into specifics when needed
• Structured and self-driven with professional authority and integrity
• Good command of Norwegian and English, both verbally and written

Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. The applicant must be eligible for security clearance and authorisation and background checks will be conducted before hire.

The position will be located in Oslo, other locations can be considered. Some travel will be required.
