Power Scheduler develops and maintains daily, weekly and monthly schedules for power generation, storage, and wheeling. Monitors and coordinates generation and interchange according to contracts and pooling arrangements. Being a Power Scheduler schedules all power purchases and sales with other utilities. Maintains logs documenting all relevant operating information, problems and issues. Additionally, Power Scheduler requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Power Scheduler occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. JOB DESCRIPTION
· Monitors and distributes sick and/or call-out list to Director of Nursing, Administrator, and Facility HR Manager
· Under the direction of the Facility HR Manager, will work on to confirm hours work on timecard on a daily basis
· Informs the DON and Facility HR/PR Manager of problem areas such as failure to punch timecard, excessive tardiness, etc.
· Checks daily time sheets to maintain proper staffing levels
· Prepares attendance reports on nursing employees who are not in compliance with attendance guidelines
· Monitors vacation requests and plans into schedules
· Prepares a weekly breakdown of hours for the Administrator
· Works with staff to cover sick calls, vacation slots and other openings
· Prepares and posts monthly schedules for CNAs and Licensed staff
· To assist as necessary in license renewal in conjunction with the SDC
· Participates in preparing paperwork for interviews by the Director of Nursing
· Participates in tours for prospective employees for the Nursing department
· Ensures sufficient paperwork and forms are available for special projects
· Files paperwork for the Nursing Department in a timely manner
· To perform duties in a way that ensures employee’s own safety and that of other employees, residents, and family/visitors
· To establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships that promote a willingness to work with others cooperatively and collaboratively
· To respect the confidentiality of information learned through one’s employment in the facility
· Other duties encountered in daily workload or those necessary for the Director of Nursing
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School graduate or equivalent
· Long Term Care experience preferred
