Performs routine maintenance, lubrication, cleaning of boilers, chillers and all central plant equipment. Maintains themechanical equipment such as engines, compressors, generators, pumps and steam boilers during the respective shifts.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
• Two years of power plant operator experience, preferred
• Knowledge of boilers, pumps gauges, heating units and systems, hand tools, generators, ventilation equipment, plumbing fixtures and all heating and cooling distribution systems.
• Has a working knowledge of regulations imposed by local, state or other hospital authorities
• Ability to troubleshoot systems as necessary
• Read and interprets blueprints and schematics
• Proficient with multiple Building Automation System functions
• Certified Stationary Engineer, highly preferred.
• Underground Storage Tank Op A or B, State of Employment Class A/B UST Operator Certification preferred

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly

Schedule Information: Can expect to work between 16-32 hours/pay period; 8 and 12 hour shifts are available.

Pay Range

$24.24 - $37.14 / hour
