Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor is responsible for the operations of a power generation plant during an assigned shift. Prepares work plans and worker assignments. Being a Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor oversees the work of operating staff and trains new employees. Coordinates plans for service interruption, maintenance, repair, installation and overhauls. Additionally, Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor ensures all safety protocols are followed. General Description of Duties: The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Operations Manager in all contract work assigned including maintaining quality standards, meeting deadlines and supervision of all assigned staff and all associated administrative paperwork. Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of staff as well as meeting the quality and time-line standards established for these contracts. Performs those duties necessary to satisfy all administrative requirements associated with client/case management. Provides direct services to developmentally disabled adults as needed. Conducts duties and responsibilities in a hands-on-fashion. Responsible for the day to day operations, including hands-on functions, as required, to insure compliance contained in the Scope of Work; reads, interprets and understands all contract requirements and specifications. Responsible for inventory control, quality assurance, production data; completes and submits payroll information as required; prepares reports, summaries, billing information and file records on a regular basis relative to the various elements of contract operations as directed; performs administrative and clerical duties necessary.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be 21 years of age. Two (2) years experience and proven success working in a production environment, inventory control and quality control systems required. Two (2) years supervisory experience in comparable field required.
Other Requirements: Must pass background/fingerprint screening and pre-employment drug screening. Must have an insurable driving record and must possess a valid NM driver’s license and proof of liability insurance. Must have effective verbal communication and writing skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push/pull, carry frequently. Must be able to squat, climb 5 ft., reach above shoulder(s) and balance occasionally.
Job type: Full time; Monday thru Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am, Some OT may be required.
Pay from: $19.00 per hour ($39,520) annually.
