Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor jobs in Delaware

Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor is responsible for the operations of a power generation plant during an assigned shift. Prepares work plans and worker assignments. Being a Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor oversees the work of operating staff and trains new employees. Coordinates plans for service interruption, maintenance, repair, installation and overhauls. Additionally, Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor ensures all safety protocols are followed. Documents equipment status and maintenance processes. Requires a high school diploma or technical school training. Typically reports to a manager. The Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN PLANT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR POSITION

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES: include the following. This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

    Ÿ Receive and log inbound raw material shipments.

    Ÿ Be able to operate the plant to mix plant food and bulk pesticides as needed.

    Ÿ Assist in managing inventory on monthly basis.

    Ÿ Investigate and resolve inventory reconciliation concerns.

    Ÿ Conduct daily plant facility inspections and document.

    Ÿ Coordinate application equipment and personnel to optimize efficiency

    Ÿ Coordinate trucks, trailers and contract haulers to optimize efficiency

    Ÿ Assist in operation and maintenance of plant equipment as needed.

    Ÿ Assist in preparing chemical orders for outbound orders

    Ÿ Assist in packaging of bulk crop protection products as needed

    Ÿ Develop and maintain good working relationship with customers and co-workers.

    Ÿ Work closely with other Willard locations to maximize logistical efficiency

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office
    • Ability to work long hours as needed particularly through peak season
    • Class B CDL license,(preferred)
    • Safe driving history

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Basic math and algebra

    Farm background preferred
