Key Accountabilities
*Maintain shift operating logs and records
*Operate and monitor plant equipment and systems
*Perform regular equipment rounds, taking critical readings from instruments and reports abnormal conditions to the appropriate manager
*Handle mechanical maintenance tasks, inspections and trouble shooting as assigned
*Assist in the development of standard operational procedures as assigned
*Follow safe working practices and identify hazards and follow through on corrective action as approved by Management
*Use Computerized Maintenance Management system to document plant deficiencies, schedule work and order materials
*Complete required plant training and assist in the training of others
*Unload, handle and transfer bulk chemicals and takes samples for analysis and testing
*Maintain plant housekeeping and security
*Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
*High School diploma/GED equivalent. Trade school, military service or technical school training preferred.
*Proven mechanical and trouble shooting skills
*Ability to work constructively under minimum supervision
*Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, be on call and accept call-outs and over time work
*Basic user PC skills for information processing and management
*General knowledge of safety and environmental regulation
Ability to operate a fork lift and man-lifts as needed
