Power Plant Operations Manager manages and oversees the daily operations of a power generation plant. Monitors operations for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are followed. Being a Power Plant Operations Manager directs the implementation of preventative maintenance, emergency and operational plans and procedures. Ensures all applicable regulatory requirements are and safety protocols are followed. Additionally, Power Plant Operations Manager resolves problems and manages resources. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Power Plant Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Power Plant Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.      QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN PLANT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR POSITION 

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES: include the following.  This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

     

    • Receive and log inbound raw material shipments.
    • Be able to operate the plant to mix plant food and bulk pesticides as needed.
    • Assist in managing inventory on monthly basis. 
    • Investigate and resolve inventory reconciliation concerns.
    • Conduct daily plant facility inspections and document.
    • Coordinate application equipment and personnel to optimize efficiency
    •  Coordinate trucks, trailers and contract haulers to optimize efficiency
    • Assist in operation and maintenance of plant equipment as needed.
    • Assist in preparing chemical orders for outbound orders
    • Assist in packaging of bulk crop protection products as needed
    • Develop and maintain good working relationship with customers and co-workers.
    • Work closely with other Willard locations to maximize logistical efficiency

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office
    • Ability to work long hours as needed particularly through peak season
    • Class B CDL license,(preferred)
    • Safe driving history

     

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

     

    Basic math and algebra

    Farm background preferred
