The Job

Bexorg Biotech is seeking a motivated individual for a research scientist position in our Raman Spectroscopy and Brain Science group. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of research experience in the field of vibrational spectroscopy, especially Raman spectroscopy. The person will play a crucial role in integrating Raman spectroscopy with our cutting-edge brain perfusion platform, working in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn and apply new research techniques to contribute to our therapeutic and exploratory projects in brain science.

Essential Duties/Tasks:

• Conduct hands-on experiments to advance our understanding of brain consumption of medicine and metabolism changes during perfusion.
• Analyze, interpret, and document data, including maintaining records in an electronic lab notebook.
• Lead Raman-related projects and present findings to Bexorg project teams and contribute to scientific discussions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, life science scientists, and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• PhD in analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, or related fields or BS/MS with at least three years of work in chemistry, bioprocessing, spectroscopy, or related fields.
• Experience in Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) is preferred.
• Solid hands-on experience and strong theoretical knowledge in Raman spectroscopy/spectra, chemical structure analysis, and multivariate statistical techniques.
• Curious, self-motivated, organized, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis software and standard office software suites.
