About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our talented Data Science team as an individual contributor. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in Python and its associated data science libraries to drive complex analysis and develop robust machine learning models. Your work will directly contribute to our groundbreaking AI solutions, playing a crucial part in safeguarding the fleet industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advanced data analysis strategies.
• Design, build, and maintain machine learning models.
• Create and optimize deep neural networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into automated solutions.

Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AI and data science.

Skills and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science individual contributor role.
• Expert in Python for data science applications, to include NumPy for complex numerical computations, Pandas for manipulating and analyzing data, and Matplotlib and Seaborn for creating informative visualizations.
• Experience using Jupyter Notebooks or similar technology to perform and document data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, and data preparation for machine learning algorithms.
• Extensive experience in building and refining machine learning models utilizing scikit-learn, encompassing a broad array of techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and dimensionality reduction. This includes being proficient in fine-tuning hyperparameters, implementing cross-validation strategies for model assessment, and deploying model pipelines.
• Demonstrated expertise in applying best practices for data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation to ensure robust, accurate, and scalable machine learning solutions.
• Deep understanding of deep neural networks, demonstrated through hands-on experience in designing and implementing multi-layer architectures using TensorFlow or similar technologies like Keras and PyTorch.
• Adept in constructing one or more neural network types, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for image recognition, recurrent neural networks (RNNs) for sequence analysis, and transformer models for natural language processing.
• Experience in optimizing neural network performance using techniques like dropout, batch normalization, and advanced optimizers.
• Proficient in deploying machine learning solutions to Microsoft Azure, including using Azure Machine Learning Service for model training, optimization, and deployment, as well as managing resources for scalable and efficient model serving.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and Azure Databricks for big data analytics and collaborative workspaces.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Must be based in Omaha, Nebraska, or willing to relocate to the area.
