Responsible for managing, evaluating, and monitoring key or complex investment portfolios comprised of bonds, securities, and equity funds in a banking environment. Being a Portfolio Manager monitors daily investment activities to be aware of market changes. Considers legal and tax impact of investment decisions. In addition, Portfolio Manager may manage a team of portfolio manages. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1. Being a Portfolio Manager gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Strengthen communities and nonprofit organizations through employee community engagement programs and capacity building initiatives. Support disaster relief and recovery efforts for emergencies, natural disasters and humanitarian crises. The team seeks two Managers to serve as Program Officers in the national Work and Wealth portfolio to help drive the company’s strategic philanthropy. This portfolio invests in partners to connect more people to goods jobs, promote policies and practices that enable broad-based wealth building, and create and scale solutions which build accessible pathways to intergenerational wealth. Ideally applicants would have experience serving as a Program Officer or working in the nonprofit space to increase economic opportunities for underserved populations. The current EWA for this position is Fully Virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office. What you can expect: Support the Work & Wealth portfolio by sourcing, evaluating, and structuring strategic partnerships with nonprofits to expand access to wealth-building opportunities and greater worker resiliency. Conduct grant proposal reviews, including programmatic, financial, and strategic due diligence, and evaluate grant progress based on written grantee reports or site visits. Develop funding recommendations and prepare written and oral evaluations and recommendations for approval. Provide strategic management of nonprofit grantee relationships through regular communication, discussing challenges in meeting deliverables and providing technical assistance to grantees in execution of their grant deliverables. Support the Director of Work & Wealth in establishing funding priorities and allocating the annual budget among grant applicants. Support the measurement, evaluation and communication of impact metrics for the Work & Wealth portfolio, including data collection, analysis, reports and dashboards. Research, develop, and present ideas for strategic initiatives designed to positively contribute to Prudential’s social impact strategies. Represent the Work & Wealth team on cross-functional initiatives. Prepare internal and external communication materials such as board reports, issue briefs, websites, speeches, and press releases. Represent Prudential at both internal and external events, and stakeholder convenings. Some travel required What you’ll need: Bachelor's degree required and minimum of 3-5 years of work experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility. Subject matter expertise around inclusive wealth-building, financial inclusion, and/or job quality and understanding of nonprofit and philanthropic communities, organizational structures, and challenges; knowledge of grant making a plus. Ability to work collaboratively across various lines of business and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners. Excellent writing, communications and project management skills with a proven record of writing and presenting to a wide range of audiences. Proven track record to think strategically across a range of social impact issues and topic areas. It’d be a plus if you had: Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continual learning. Analytical and critical thinking skills; non-profit financial analysis skills a plus.
