The club features indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities featuring two lap pools, a separate kids pool, and a jacuzzi. Year-round aquatics programming is available in water aerobics, swim lessons, competitive swim team, and private and group scheduled classes.
Summer Season Pool Manager
Rate of Pay: $18 - $23 an hour
Scheduled Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week.
Job Summary:
As a manager at the Boulder Country Club, you will be expected to implement all water safety policies and procedures. This involves directing the BCC lifeguard staff to supervise our members and their guests in and around the facility. You will also ensure the pool area is kept to the highest standard for members and guests.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensuring the safety of lifeguard staff and facility patrons.
Responding to emergencies and overseeing lifeguarding safety procedures in emergencies.
Overseeing and coaching lifeguards to ensure high-quality supervision and member service.
Supervising the safety inspection, general care, chemical systems, and cleaning of the outdoor and indoor swimming pools and all surrounding areas.
Always presents a professional appearance and attitude and maintains a courteous, polite, and helpful relationship with all members and their guests.Enforcing BCC House Rules of Conduct.
Managing daily and seasonal operations checklists, purchasing, and billing.
Completing operational and designated tasks including, but not limited to:
Developing and revising employee schedules.
Ensuring proper documentation and reporting of daily operations.
Delegating and monitoring tasks.
Resolving operations problems.
Implementing and enforcing new pool procedures.
Maintaining reference manuals.
Assisting in preseason preparations and postseason winterizing of pools.
Performs various maintenance duties as directed.
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending required meetings, in-service training sessions, and recertification courses.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Willing to work 30 - 40 hours per week outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
Previous lifeguarding experience.
Previous management experience preferred.
Strong swimming skills.
Required Certifications
American Red Cross LGT / CPR & AED for the Professional Rescuer
American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) is preferred.
Pool Operator Certification (CPO or AFO) is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Complete Red Cross lifeguarding course prerequisites.
Swim a minimum distance of 300 meters once a week.
Easily lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
