Policy Processing Clerk modifies, updates, and processes existing insurance policies and claims to reflect any change in beneficiary, amount of coverage, or type of insurance. Evaluates information from application for policy reinstatement for completeness and accuracy. Being a Policy Processing Clerk may approve policy if all criteria's are met. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Policy Processing Clerk typically reports to a supervisor. The Policy Processing Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum six months general office experience and basic accounting knowledge highly desirable.
- Ideal candidate must be detail oriented and highly organized in order to accurately perform a wide variety of tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- Must possess excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
