Policy Change Supervisor jobs in New Mexico

Policy Change Supervisor supervises a group of insurance policy change technicians to ensure that policy changes and requests are carried out according to established guidelines. Determines action on changes for which a policyholder has applied, but which are not covered by policy provisions, and computes costs or allowances for policy changes. Being a Policy Change Supervisor contacts policy owners and field agents with pertinent information that may affect a policy change. Does not have underwriting approval. Additionally, Policy Change Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Policy Change Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Policy Change Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Reports to: Chief Operating Officer, Melanie Aranda 

     

    Job Purpose: [Using independent judgment and discretion], Contributes to the overall success of CCP by taking a leadership role in as campaign manager for civic engagement strategies within strategic initiative issue campaigns, and effectively advocating and effectively communicating with team members, policy-makers, and allied organizations. The Campaigns Director will work with non-profit organizations and advocacy organizations in building and coordinating year-round civic and voter engagement programs. 


    Primary Duties and Responsibilities


    • Independently Leads the planning and implementation of CCP/NM C3 Table strategic initiative, policy civic engagement campaigns, voter registration and Get Out the Vote campaigns in the field. 
    • Supports the CCP strategy team and Policy Director to implement civic engagement strategies to support policy advocacy campaigns and civic engagement campaigns that advance CCP’s mission and vision.
    • Independently leads and ensures that recruitment goals are met for the duration of the campaign.
    • Independently lead the development and implementation of the field and advocacy plan for campaigns.
    • Independently manage and supervise partner organizations, organizers/canvassers during Table led campaigns in alignment with CCP values.
    • Communicate and collaborate with CCP Chief Operating Officer to plan, develop and implement a budget that meets the campaign goals. 
    • Independently lead and track the campaign progress, results, and present reports as requested. 
    • Support the following departments or leaders: Campaigns, Advocacy, Communications, Digital, Logistics, and other. 


    Table Planning and Coordination:  

    • Independently lead and oversee the implementation and evaluation of the table’s coordinated civic engagement plans including data management, field training, voter registration, education and mobilization, and / or legislative programs.  
    • Support table partners with  strategic program development, development of shared metrics and evaluations, innovate new approaches, long and short-term organizing strategies and engagement of new allies and potential partners.
    • Support organizational partners in developing strategic civic and voter engagement plans that encourage year-round civic engagement programs including issue education and organizing and voter registration and mobilization.  



    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Participates in CCP’s Race, Gender, and Equity work both internally and with partners.  
    • Maintains a working knowledge of local, state, and national political/public policy news.  
    • Supports the Chief Operating Officer in completing administration tasks.  
    • Supports the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Operating Officer in training allies to manage and implement campaign plans. 
    • Supports the Chief Executive Officer in communicating CCP’s work to current and potential funders, as requested.

    Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree required or minimum 5 years of experience with issue and or political campaigns or
    • Minimum 1-2 years of  experience with issue and or political campaigns
    • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in facilitation

    • Cultural competence, commitment to equity, and demonstrates ability to build diverse, equitable, and inclusive organizations;

    • Deep commitment to grassroots power-building and policy development

    Salary

    The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually depending on experience.

    The final salary will be based on an internal equitable scale that takes into consideration years of experience, educational attainment, management responsibilities, and final job description.
