Policy Change Director manages all aspects of insurance policy changes according to company guidelines. Designs and implements procedures used for expediting policy changes and the calculations used to determine associated costs. Being a Policy Change Director develops, implements, and communicates policies and practices concerning policy changes and related costs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Policy Change Director typically reports to top management. The Policy Change Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Policy Change Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Position Summary

    The Quality Program Manager is an ideal opportunity to develop and implement the Quality and Performance Improvement Program for assigned MultiCare locations. As you develop and implement annual and multi-year plans, you will assure quality and patient safety while setting new standards for the settings of care. This dynamic position will allow you to operate as a role model through principles, practices and methods.

    Responsibilities

    • You will direct activities assuring initiatives and projects are completed and perform ongoing performance analysis
    • You will develop components of the QAPI and other regulatory requirements
    • You will develop data and information into quality analyses
    • You will partner and seek additional expertise
    • You will develop routine reporting

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in health care field preferred
    • Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in a professional or technical role/function in a healthcare or related setting as applicable to specialty
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a quality, regulatory readiness, performance improvement or patient safety role
    • Competent in data use, analysis, reporting and PI Tools (PDSA, etc.)
    • Quality or patient safety certification, such as CPHQ or CPPS, preferred
    • Competent use of computerized information systems (email, MS Office including Excel, Epic, healthcare data and benchmarking systems, etc.) required

    Pay and Benefit Expectations

    We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $94,985.00 - $137,948.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
