Police Records Clerk maintains the records filing system and/or database used to manage, access, and preserve electronic and paper records of criminal justice activities. Assists in providing accurate and clear information to public and other departments. Being a Police Records Clerk may perform other clerical duties including taking photographs, fingerprints, and answering telephone inquiries. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Police Records Clerk typically reports to police sergeant or police lieutenant. The Police Records Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Purpose
The primary role of the Indexing Clerk at VRC Companies, LLC (“Company”) is to assist in the preparation and scanning of documents for imaging. Imaged documents are then indexed for electronic routing into the Company’s workflows. This position is task-oriented and requires particular attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Sorting and preparing documents for scanning
- Indexing imaged documents
- Receptionist back-up and other administrative support as assigned.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accuracy: the accuracy of work performed
- Timeliness: meeting all established deadlines
- Team Player: willingness to assist others when needed.
- Productivity: meeting established standards of productivity
Minimum Requirements:
- Some college preferred.
- Experience with Insurance documents preferred
- Scanning experience preferred
- Computer literate
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
- Light to moderate lifting is required.
- Ability to type 35-40 WPM and 10-Key by touch preferred.
