Job Description

Under close supervision, provides administrative support for the Records Section; processes select communications with citizens, uses NCIC/MILESsystems; monitors camera surveillance; and performs other support duties.

This position covers an office that is open 24/7.

Salary: Starting at $20.65, previous experience will be considered.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience using a keyboard to enter data and type information, and with software including Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Able to obtain/maintain NCIC/MILES user certification.
• Able to work holidays and weekends; rotating shifts.
• Able to work all shifts as assigned.
• Ability to manage competing priorities

Responsibilities:

• Receives, processes, and writes reports for all events that meet the Telephone Reporting Unit Criteria as well as walk in complaints as described in the policy.
• Enters and extracts information from NICI/MILES systems as required.
• Monitors camera surveillance located within the City of Aberdeen
• Meets and provides information to the public.
