Poker Dealer deals poker, accepts bets, pays winners, and collects from non-winners. Handles player transactions, notifies pit supervisor of any irregularities or disputes that may arise during the game. Being a Poker Dealer may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Poker Dealer may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
- Deal poker tournaments and cash games with precision according to established rules and procedures
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Communicate game rules and procedures to guests who may be unfamiliar with the games
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Monitor the game to ensure fair play and resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all club policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Applicants must be familiar with the rules of poker an have experience dealing
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
- Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage conflicts or difficult situations
- Must have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
