Poker Dealer deals poker, accepts bets, pays winners, and collects from non-winners. Handles player transactions, notifies pit supervisor of any irregularities or disputes that may arise during the game. Being a Poker Dealer may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Poker Dealer may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. You will be responsible for:
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Demonstrated proficiency in dealing one or more games, acquired through training or experience. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Requires finger dexterity to be able to shuffle and deal cards. Ability to identify cards and pay/collect bets. Ability to stand and walk for an entire eight hour shift. Work environment is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and smoke; the severity of which depends upon customer volume. Must be able to distinguish various colors. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Must be able to work varied hours including weekends and holidays.
Note: Must attend poker school and pass an audition before a job offer will be extended.
