Platemaker - Offset jobs in Los Angeles, CA

Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Hours may vary due to training.

Position Specification/Duties:

• Check proofs and plates meet specific print and press specifications.
• Any issues reported to the supervisor or manager for immediate resolution.
• Check press and bindery pull-ups.
• Catch plates as they are output for various commercial jobs and newspapers.
• Organize and file paperwork.
• At times may be required to output plates in the absence of a platemaker.

Qualifications Requirements: (Special Skills, etc.)

• Commercial web printing experience preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Effective communication skills (speaking & writing).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Capable of multitasking multiple tasks. Stays on track with assignments, completes paperwork and reports accurately and on time.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Familiarity with Kodak Prinergy Connect to output plates preferred.
• Flexible to work off days to cover in the absence of the other QC staff.
