Places paper containing identification information on camera grid, exposes film to identify information, develops and dries negative, and then forms printing plate. Being a Platemaker - Offset maintains production records and machines. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Platemaker - Offset typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Platemaker - Offset typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill. Requirements
- Proven previous offset printing press experience
- Technical knowledge of offset printing procedures, operations, and troubleshooting
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
