Summary:
To operate a variety of reproduction equipment such as offset presses, high speed digital photocopiers, plate making machines and related equipment at an intermediate level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience: Two years of experience in the operation of an offset press and related equipment.
License/Certification: None required.
Responsibilities:
Operates and adjusts various kinds of small offset presses to produce printed material in a cost effective and timely manner in order to satisfy legislative, agency and municipality customers.
Operates and performs minor maintenance on high speed, high volume digital photocopiers.
Cleans, lubricates and performs preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns which could result in lost time and production.
Troubleshoots mechanical problems and relays information to supervisor.
Performs bindery operations and overall finishing of product such as padding, collating, folding, stapling, cutting and trimming to support regular bindery personnel during heavy workloads.
Checks pre and post production work of Offset Press Operator I’s.
Cross trains other pressmen on equipment that position incumbent has advanced knowledge of.
Performs all duties as listed in Offset Press Operator I supplemental job description.
