    • Creating, modifying and Interpreting imposition layout templates using InDesign, Illustrator and Kodak Prep to quality standards and job specifications.
    • Previewing Preflight of all incoming digital files to ensure the most accurate reproduction based on customer expectations.
    • Creating job folder on Kodak Prinergy or Rampage and upload files.
    • Analyzing and suggesting improvements of current preflight and prepress process and GPO standards against evolving industry standards.
    • Perfoming routine maintenance of platemaking equipment such as plate processors and large format printers, cleans line-up tables, sinks, and other equipment.

    To qualify for the position- Offset Platemaker Stripper, KO-4416-00, you must meet the following requirements:

    Applicants must meet the following SCREENOUT Element, Job Element #1- "Ability to do the work of an Offset Platemaker Stripper, KO-4416-00, with normal supervisionto be considered ftor this position". Applicants must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to independently perform the duties typically required of the position: 1) Usage of the following software: Kodak Preps, Kodak Prinergy, Onevision and Adobe Creative Suite or similiar systems; 2) Understanding of techniques and procedures to produce offset plates requiring single flat exposures of halftone and/or line film negatives or positives. and/or 3) Skill in the operation and routine maintenance of platemaking equipment such as plate processors and large format printers.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
